A SharePoint workspace can synchronize many kinds of lists and libraries with a SharePoint 2010 site. The preferred means of synchronizing with a SharePoint server is by using a SharePoint workspace. The SharePoint workspace type in SharePoint Workspace 2010 requires SharePoint Server 2010. In this case, you cannot connect a SharePoint workspace to the SharePoint site. However, you do not upgrade from Office SharePoint Server 2007 to SharePoint Server 2010. Then, you upgrade from Office Groove 2007 to Microsoft SharePoint Workspace 2010. You have Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 installed on a server computer. You have Microsoft Office Groove 2007 installed on a computer.
